Ridepool - travel from and to Vancouver/S2S

I'm looking to link up with some other racers from Squamish or Vancouver to get a lift to Merritt and more importantly, back to the coast from Fernie. I'm hoping to finish within 4 days and would be looking to head back ASAP.

@simonjesshope Hello Simon, I just spoke today with another BC epic rider and agreed to drive his car out to Fernie, Im sorry I wont be able to take yours! Ill let you know if anything changes. Hope you will be able to find someone else to help you out!

@Julia Craig Hi Julia, that might just work out! I could potentially pick you and @bastien jean up in Vancouver and drive together to Merritt, then you take the van to Fernie and leave it when you depart westbound for me to pick up and drive home. Is that kinda what you were thinking?

@simonjesshope Hi, I personally would like to do the route in reverse, but I live in Vancouver and am having trouble figuring a way back from Fernie. I would be more than happy to drive someones car to Fernie and then ride my way back, and that way they'd have their car waiting for them at the end. Let me know if that might work for you!

Hi all, I have a van and bikerack. Driving from Victoria to Merritt for the start. However, I am short on ideas on how to return to Merritt from Fernie. I am hoping to finish within 4-5 days. Anyone have any thoughts or a ride? I'm vaccinated.

Hey. In 2021 i was lucky to find someone who was wanting to ride the route east to west. So they dropped me in Merritt, drove to fernie and left their car there for me to find when i finished. In 2022 my wife and son drove out to meet me at the finish. That's probably the one and only time they will be doing that haha. Flying from Cranbrook is a real possibility but i don't think anyone ever does it. It seems everyone is able to find find a ride closer to the event since so riders will have family pick them up and they are more than happy to drive back another rider if they have room.

I have a vehicle departing from North Vancouver. I'm planning 6-7 days to complete the route with some flexibility. If anyone else is looking to carpool with a vehicle on each end and about a week to do the route - let me know!

Hey Cory - do you have a vehicle? I'm in Squamish and I can take 2 people / 2 bikes (including myself!), so if you have a car too we could team up and leave one on each side of the route.

I do have some car options. I have a personal car but reluctant to leave my wife without it for any length of time. We have a toddler. I'm double checking but I may also have access to my work car - an SUV that would fit 4 comfortably with bikes. What are you thinking for the return vehicle? Just make a quick trip out to fernie the weekend before and carpool back or fly back?

Update - I will have access to one of our event vehicles and a 4 bike rack starting the week of June 21. It could be left in Merritt.
